Social media can be daunting to start for some people. We get it. We understand! So to help people who are just getting started on social media or maybe aren’t getting the response they want, here are our top mistakes we see people make.
- Not posting consistently. We recommend you post at least once each day, five days a week.
- Only posting “buy my product” or “buy my services” posts. This is a HUGE mistake. People don’t just want to have commercials constantly in their face. They want to be entertained and engaged in content. Post fun things on your accounts – meet the staff, ask a question, show pics of your vacation, tell a funny story, do a giveaway, etc. Engage your audience in a personal way. When you engage your audience, your posts stay in their feeds…take that Facebook Algorithm!
- Not running FB ads. FB ads can be life changing for your business. For as little as $1 per day, you can reach a large audience. Setting these up can be confusing at first, but there are many online tutorials on how to do this.
- Posting too often. Too many posts leave the viewer feeling annoyed, and they will unfollow you.
- Not knowing the correct target audience. Sit down, get out a piece of paper, and actually write out who your target audience is. Then create content with them in mind.
We hope this helps you!
